How your data is stored

Here is what is public, what is yours alone, and how to get a copy of your data.

Public

Pins	Location, type and state are visible to everyone who opens the map, along with the contribution count and change history.
Pin and listing chats	Readable, with your username, by everyone who sees that pin or listing.
Listings	Lost pet and service listings are visible to everyone in the list.

Yours alone

Private messages	Between two people only.
Pet health records	Your record, never published on the map.
Favourites and settings	Tied to your account, not shown to anyone else.

Getting a copy of your data

You can request a copy from Ayarlar › Verilerimi İndir. The same settings section also has Veri Kullanımı (data usage) and Gizlilik (privacy).

Deletion

Deleting your account is permanent and cannot be undone: Deleting my account. The binding legal texts on processing, storage and destruction of personal data are in Turkish: Gizlilik · KVKK · Çerez · Koşullar.

The part you have to protect yourself

The one thing the system cannot protect is what you type. A phone number or address written into a shared chat is public. Do not put it there.
